Jonathan Strahorn

With over 20 years of experience in construction management, design-build, and fire safety services, Jonathan is a respected expert in the construction and fire safety industry. He owns OKIE Safety Consulting and Red Dirt Solutions, providing plan reviews and consulting across the U.S., including more than 70 jurisdictions in Oklahoma. His extensive background includes collaboration with municipal, state, and federal agencies, conducting over 10,000 building plan reviews, fire safety inspections, and fire protection system analyses. He has also delivered training for fire inspectors and worked with organizations such as the Oklahoma Fire Marshal's Office, OSU-FST, and the International Code Council (ICC). Prior to consulting, he spent 15 years at the El Reno Fire Department, advancing from Firefighter to Deputy Chief Fire Marshal. He also served as an instructor for OSU Fire Service Training and held the role of President of the Oklahoma Fire Marshal Association (2021–2022). He holds multiple certifications, including Fire Plans Examiner, ICC Building Inspector, and Fire Inspector I & II. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to safety, he is passionate about ensuring buildings are safe, compliant, and built to the highest standards.
